My last Post-it Painting for the Giant Robot Post-it Show! The show is December 2nd-10th at the Giant Robot Gallery in L.A.

Also I was interviewed by Noe Tanigawa of Hawaiian Public Radio for the upcoming Honolulu Printmakers Print and Book show that I'll be exhibiting at this Friday and Saturday. I'll post the time and links as soon as I have them.

Switching up a bit. A rough ocean landscape. I don't normally draw landscapes but after witnessing the King Tides here, I was inspired to draw a sculptural ocean scape. Mark that up as Post-It #5 I am totally loving my new Kuretake #40 brush pen! Definitely a step up from the good ol' Pentel Pocket Brush Pen.

Here's my fourth little Post-it painting. "Artisanal Squid" I've really been enjoying playing with style and design with each new one that I do. This one is pretty silly but fun.

So I've been invited again to participate in the Giant Robot Post-it Show. This little guy is my first painting. I've always wanted draw or paint a Dumbo Octopus! This gave me a chance to do just that!

So as I was finishing this ink wash drawing I had a revelation- It's not often in life that we achieve our dream goals. Sometimes we get pretty close. I draw for a living which is pretty sweet but when I was 15 I thought I'd be living the high life drawing only monsters and comics. My tastes have changed since I was 15- I like superheroes and really like monsters but I've got other things that I that I like draw more.. ok, maybe not more than monsters. To the point- I don't think this is my best drawing, but I guarantee you, if you showed this to my 15 year old self he would clearly say I have satisfied all of my arty aspirations and can now glide on my skills. Which is pretty sweet to think about.

Another Post_it drawing! I’m not a crazy Star Wars fan, don’t get me wrong I like the series fine but I’m not as emotionally committed to it as some. That said, right now you can’t read any comic/sci-fi blog without it being everywhere, so while I was at coffee I was contemplating how cool the x-wing was and how exactly is the b-wing a “B” when I came up with this concept for my next Post-It drawing.

I've been invited to participate in the Giant Robot Post-it Show which is awesome. I finished these three famous, going to hell in a hand basket, rock n' roll Kittens this afternoon inspired from this silkscreen poster I did earlier this year. I wish I could go to the show cause it sounds awesome!
