May Day 2:09 PM

It's a beautiful May first in Portland, yep. I'm still in Portland for a few more days and I'm without a doubt enjoying the a more laid back pace of the Rose City (Maybe a bit too much, There's work to be done).

Stumptown comic festival was last weekend and I had a fantastic time there exhibiting. This was quite possibly my most successful festival to date- I debuted my silkscreen prints and they received a great response. I sold out of two! This is a super encouraging and I've got more prints in the plans!

In Portland for the Stumptown Comic Fest 12:21 PM

I arrived in Portland a couple of days ago to fantastic weather. Sunny and 70 degrees! This upcoming weekend I'll be exhibiting at the Stumptown Comic Festival so if you're around come by and visit and check out all of my new work- including a brand new silkscreen accordion book "Kraken".

The Return to ZOMBIE CAT! 3:15 PM

This is a project I've had in the "works" for a long time- started it in 2007. It's had more than it's fair share of false starts and flat out over-worked and over commercialized attempts that turned out terrible (which looking back was inevitable).

Now, I think I've got it down. I've finally developed a storyline that I really dig and hopefully everyone else will too. I'm trying to get this done for Stumptown- it'll be a tough cause there's a lot of work left but that's the goal! I'll update as it goes.

Quick note- I had a fantastic time at Stumptown Comics festival in PDX with Paul Hoppe, Tory Sica, Megan Cain, and of course my brother Scott and his girlfriend Sina. Now Back to work!

Rabid Rabbit#13 C'est Bon Kultur #14 Release Party! 8:16 AM

And so much more- almost too much to handle! There's the Rabid Rabbit/C'est Bon pre-MoCCA release and original art show at Bergen Street Comics. This is going to be an awesome international comic art show! We've got the pre-mocca release and shindig with comic artists from all over the world including, humbly, myself. We'll be signing books and having good fun presenting the latest issue of Rabid Rabbit its first collaboration in an awesome flip-book with C'est Bon Kultur.

It will be awesome, you should come.

Yow, I'm now slowly recovering from what was a really long run that started way back at the Rabid Rabbit release and original art show that was on the March 27th at Bergen Street comics (The show is still up but in it's final weeks so check it out! Info HERE) that was quickly followed by the MoCCA Festival which was followed by and unpronounceable volcano stranding my swedish friends in NYC which was then followed by the Stumptown Festival which was great- simply great- Now I'm back at work storyboarding and decompressing from a crazy schedule-

the Stumptown cometh 10:10 AM

Wow. What a tornado, actually in this case a volcano, not just any volcano. an unpronounceable icelandic volcano- it really is unpronounceable- "Eyjafjallajökull" which has stranded numerous scandanavian cartoonists in NYC and a few in my apartment. I happy to have them and this years MoCCA will easily be remembered for years to come. But as it is, the stumptown comicsfest has appeared on the horizon and I will be there as an agent of Rabid Rabbit- so I've got bags to pack and comics to ship. If you're in PDX you really must stop by! If you're not you should be 'cause Portland's a really lovely town.

Amazing time at MoCCA 8:15 AM

I had a great time this year at MoCCA, in fact I think this year might be my favorite. I met a ton of cool people and got to see some old friends and Rabid Rabbit contributors that I haven't seen a while. I want to give a shout out to the Swedes and the Swedish Anthology C'est Bon in which a collaboration is in the works! Next up for me in two weeks- STUMPTOWN!

Stumptown Trade Review 6:05 AM

As I've said before I had a great time at the Stumptown Comics festival in Portland, Oregon. I met so many cool people and got some amazing comics. A couple of days before at the Kennedy School I met an individual named "Tiny". At 6+ feet and wearing a t-shirt that said "I beat anorexia". Tiny, liked the civil war. He had done some Re-enacting and loved history. I signed him a copy of Gettysburg and He said he'd bring his friends who write comic blog by to check it out.

That he did. Brian of the Stumptown Trade Review wrote up what I'd consider an accurate critique of Gettysburg. Cheers to that.

Graphic Novel Reporter interview and stumptown 1:59 PM

Ohh, man. I'm tired in too many ways to describe. I just got back from Portland, OR after attending a great Stumptown comicsfest. It was a truly good time and cheers to everyone I met there-

work work work 5:35 AM

I'm starting to get ready to go to PDX next week for the Stumptown comicfest- which I'm really excited for. My brother and I will have a table and will pushing Rabid Rabbits and our own stuff. I'm currently working on a the early stages couple of graphic novels. One about a zombie cat and the other about Harriet Tubman- yes my work does have a theme...
