Pinned- a show of contemporary Pin-Up art at Shag, Brooklyn

I curated a show of awesome pin-up art at Shag, Brooklyn! It's been so crazy that I'm just now posting about it here! The opening went fantastic and the work that my friends and colleagues produced for this show was simply amazing. Here's a list of the amazing artists who are showing Tory Sica, Reuben Negron, Jess Ruliffson, Wendi Koontz, Matt Rota, Brendan Leach, Jess Worby, Jen Tong, Aya Kakeda, Pat Dorian, Kim Sielbeck, & Sungyoon Choi

NEW YEAR KAIJU!

Happy New Year. No better way than to start with a monster drawing- Sometimes I think I could just sit around all day and draw monsters. But I think that falls under the category of too much of good thing just might ruin it. So for now, monster drawing is an indulgence of mine that I've yet to get tired of- this is my tribute to Pacific Rim- which I thought was great. Did this in my sketchbook using pen and ink with inkwash.

Bleeding Cool Comics Art Brooklyn!

So I'm slowly tumbling back into consciousness after surviving Comic Arts Brooklyn- It was an awesome show. I sold more books and silkscreen prints in a one day show that I've sold at weekend long shows so kudos to Desert Island for making this show happen!

Above is Jen Tong and I at CAB.

In other news- I'm in a group show called Picture in Picture at the Launchpad Gallery that's been written at Bleeding Cool- check that out here
